
DAN BERTINI
Lead Engineer
Dan has nearly 20 years of experience as a consulting engineer gathering and analyzing data for commissioning, retro-commissioning, and EM&V projects throughout the country. His field experience includes projects in residential, industrial, commercial, institutional, and agricultural settings, working for clients such as Energy Trust of Oregon, Bonneville Power Administration, Idaho Power, Xcel Energy, Duke Energy, National Grid, and the United States Department of Defense. Prior to his work as a consultant he spent five years at the University of Colorado as an instructor and professional research assistant in HVAC engineering, and three years as an industrial applications engineer for a manufacturer of Coriolis flow meters. In addition to having over 25 years of engineering experience, Dan also has six years of field experience as an installer of plumbing, hydronic heating, solar hot water heating, and photovoltaic pumping systems. Dan has a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from New Mexico State University and an M.S. in Building Energy Systems from the University of Colorado. He is a registered mechanical engineer and licensed journeyman plumber in the State of Colorado.
