Santiago has six years of experience with modeling and validation for energy efficiency measures. Whether it’s in the field, a research setting, or a computer model he knows how to exploit available data to give accurate answers to client questions about energy consumption. His prior projects include comprehensive commercial and industrial evaluations, field and laboratory testing of innovative technologies, comprehensive residential energy and environment metering, custom computer application design, technical reference manuals, and detailed energy models for clients such as Bonneville Power Administration, Northwest Energy Efficiency Alliance, Avista, Puget Sound Energy, Pacific Gas & Electric, National Grid USA, and many others. He has a BS and MS in Mechanical Engineering from Portland state with a focus on building science research.
Santiago has been training in Brazilian jiu-jitsu since 2010 and competes in regional tournaments. He is a frequent bicycle commuter and enjoys homebrewing.
